170th Bagdad Anniversary Lecture Series

The next 170th Anniversary Lecture Series event will be Sept 4. when Dr John Bratton (UWF) speaks on "Civil War Shipwrecks in Bagdad's Waters'. Dr. Bratton has lead the dive team on the Tristan De Luna ship wrecks discovered in Pensacola Bay. He and his UWF team documented the authentically of the Tristan De Luna wreckage discovery and they have recently been diving and researching Civil War shipwrecks in the Blackwater River at Bagdad. This will be a most interesting lecture for Bagdad historians and Civil War historians.

The lecture held, at the Bagdad Museum on Church St in Bagdad, is free to the public and refreshments will be served. It will take place on Sept. 4th, the first Saturday of September, at 10 am.
