SPECIAL NOTE: This is a come and go affair.  There is no time limit or specific time to tour homes or experience venues, just do it between 2pm & 7pm.  Maybe tour the homes in daylight and come back to see the firing of the cannon and experience the encampment after dark.  Come and go as you wish to make your day and evening special.

Remember there will be guided tours and self-guided tours.

Bagdad United Methodist Church schedule is growing:

Mr. Browns Barber Shop is not fully restored inside but it sure makes a good Christmas Cottage.  Stop by and Christmas shop. Heritage Tour tickets not necessary, free to everyone.

Civil War Camp is where children and adults alike can learn how soldiers survived while waiting for battles.

Night Firing of the Big Gun will occur as scheduled so everyone can witness a very special event. A little secret re-enactors use for the cannon is adding steel wool to the charge.  The six pound cannon creates a kaleidoscope of color when fired, not the mention the percussion force and some very serious noise.  The cannon is a perfect reproduction of the most popular cannon used in the war and maned by professional reenactors who have over 25 years experience.

Civil War Headquarters House is cleared out and ready for period furniture and decor.  The double pin Creole Cottage, built around 1855, is slowly turning into the Confederate Headquarters of the 6th Mississippi Calvary stationed in Santa Rosa County and commanded by Capt. Eli Chandler.

Troops will Corral their Horses at CW Headquarters in the front yard directly on the front picket fence for everyone to see.
