Fall Market Day
July Quarterly Meeting
Spring Market Day
The Spring Market Day was a hugh success! A delicious
dinner of fried mullet and all the trimmings was served. Sixteen
freezers of homemade Ice Cream in delicious flavors of vanilla,
strawberry, chocolate, peach, and peppermint were enjoyed. The yard
sale, bake sale, plant sale, and BVPA Gift Shop provided customers
with great buys. Arts and Crafts vendors displayed their wares.
All in all - it was a good day!
January Quarterly Meeting
A history of the schools in Bagdad was presented by Gloria Cook and
Elaine Willis. Highlights of the early school days were given in a
humorous manner - with information gathered from old newspapers.
Former principals, teachers, and other employees of the school -through
the years - wee recognized. The meeting was appropriately held at
the present Bagdad Elementary School which was built in 1926.

BVPA provided refreshments when the Copper Possum' hosted the monthly Chamber of Commerce "After Hours".
The July quarterly meeting, featured “The Lost Ships of the Blackwater”, a report on the UWF Archaeology Institute project by graduate student Lora Holland. Boaters and divers have long known about the wrecks located near the I-10 bridge. Fascinating stories of these once magnificent schooners were shared during the program.
The Antique show for 2005 was cancelled due to
Hurricane Ivan.
